It's Time To Get Lena Dunham Out Of Here
Lena Dunham is the epitome of white feminism. Swooping on her kale carpet when it's convenient for her and then quickly swooping right back out whenever her motives and tactics are called into question. Personally, I don't know why she is STILL here. At this point, even white people don't claim her. Yet for some reason, she still finds a way to bring her irrelevant self into everything and play the victim.
Last week, Murray Miller, a fellow writer of HBO's shit tv show "Girls" created by yours truly, Lena Dunham, was accused of rape by actress, Aurora Perrineau. Aurora says the writer sexually assaulted her when she was 17. Lena and Girls showrunner, Jenni Konner released a joint statement dismissing the allegations Saying we are taking down "the wrong targets".
Basically, a long-winded white feminist statement saying "well he didn't rape us so he can't be a rapist".
I've never seen it for Lady Dunham, never will. She has zero purposes on this planet and I don't know who greenlit her career or why. That aside, I'm so tired of her and white women like her, picking and choosing when to be feminists. This is why we had to distinguish white feminism from actual feminism. White feminism is picking and choosing which women you fight for because fighting for ALL women (like feminism is supposed to) may not always benefit you. Historically this is what mainstream feminism has done. Claimed to be for everyone, but quickly say how much faster they could progress if they left women of color and LGBTQ women behind. There's a reason why ONLY white women got the right to vote in 1920.
Lena always does this same thing where she comes out and says some stupid anti-feminist or racist bullshit then immediately issues a half-ass apology saying "oh I'm just so clumsy with my words haha didn't mean it that way please forgive me" and then does it all over again.
Side note: privileged people, apologies are supposed to be there to express actual remorse for your actions and words not just to save face. We can see right through your fake apologies. Do not apologize if you don't mean it. Apologizing means you acknowledge you fucked up and are going to work to not do it again. Not "well I apologized so please shut up now." We also don't have to accept your apologies.
We've seen this pattern when she wrote her book proudly proclaiming that she molested her sister. We saw it when she accused Odell Beckham Jr, of calling her fat and ugly and not wanting to have sex with her because he didn't acknowledge her existence. When she joked about how she would love to have an abortion and more.
We're not buying it any more sis. That might have worked for white people a few times, but at this point not even they are seeing it for you anymore. She issued yet another white apology via iOS press release, saying that she should have waited for the right "time" as if the timing was what people are mad about. When exactly is the correct "time" to defend rapists, Lena?
Furthermore, this is the same woman who not only molested her sister but also just wrote a whole entire op-ed piece about how women should be believed when they come forward and recently tweeted that women do not lie about rape.
So according to her, women don't lie about rape until the rapist is her homie, then everyone is a liar? Okay, girl. We see you, we see your bullshit and we ain't here for it. If we are getting sexual predators and their defenders out of Hollywood, then someone needs to get the ball rolling on getting this wench the whole entire fuck up out of here, immediately. Only thing I want to read about Lena Dunham from this point foward is that she's been blacklisted from everything and has had to resort to selling mangos on the side of the highway because she can't get a job.
